Joy Hines was named as the county's finance officer on Nov. 12. Hines assumes the position from Kaye Royall, who left the post to pursue opportunities in the banking field.
Hines had served as assistant finance officer since December, 1997. She was officially introduced to the county commissioners on Nov. 18.
In a nutshell, the finance officer is responsible for overseeing the
financial procedures throughout county operations.
