Correction
Due to an error, Melvin T. Jackson, a candidate for N.C. House of
Representatives, was listed as a Republican candidate. Jackson, a former
Surry County Commissioner and teacher for 30 years at North Surry High
School, is actually a Democrat. Jackson will face fellow Democrats Todd
Harris and Jim Harrell in the Sept. 10 primary.
