The New River Shrine Club's 23rd-annual specialty vehicle show will be held Saturday at the Justice Carlisle Higgins Agricultural Fairgrounds. Proceeds from the event will be used to benefit Shriners' hospitals, which provide free care to crippled and burned children.
The event will be preceeded by a ‘cruise in' on Friday night. That event comes complete with a free barbecue dinner for participants. Those not participating may also partake of the meal by offering a donation to the Shrine club.
Saturday's events will begin with gates opening at 8 a.m. Judging will begin at noon and awards will be presented at 4:30 p.m.
Special events include a charity auction and the display of Dale Earnhardt's No. 3 NASCAR Winston Cup race car from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Music for the event will be provided by a disc jockey.
Admission is $5 per person with children 12 and under admitted free.
