The North Carolina Press Association has announced that Karen Roupe, advertising composition manager of The Alleghany News, is the winner of five press awards in Community Division B of the 2002 Best Ad Contest in statewide competition.
Roupe, along with other winners, will be honored at a ceremony this Friday at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Research Triangle Park.
Ron Brown, Alleghany News general manager noted, "This is the third consecutive year Karen has been recognized by her peers and we're extremely proud of her recognition and accomplishments.
"Karen's professionalism and talent in creating eye-pleasing effective ad layout is evidence of our commitment to our advertising clients," he said. "We congratulate her on behalf of the entire staff and management."
