Local librarian says she feels blessed in her work

Debbie Brewer acknowledges that working in a library is not for everybody. Some who have tried volunteering at the Alleghany County Library have found it was not for them.

But for Brewer, with her lifelong love of reading and enjoyment of working with people, the job of librarian seems an excellent fit.

"I'm just so blessed to be in my job, because I don't ever dread going to work," she said. "I've never found it boring."
