"Sunshine" (Lucy Rowe) decorates Jane Marshall's cheek with a flower during
open house at the Alleghany County Family Resource Center last week. Also on
hand was "Lulabelle" (Janice Alexander), helping to entertain the children.
The clowns' face-painting, magic, juggling and balloon art were one of the
highlights of the festivities.

The Alleghany Partnership for Children (PFC) and one of its affiliated agencies, the Alleghany County Family Resource Center (FRC), each celebrated its new facilities, as an open house was held at both sites Feb. 21.
PFC Director Bob Bamberg said the partnership moved to 507 North Main Street in Sparta last month from its location a few doors down. He said the PFC needed more space. In addition, the agency was sharing space with another office, and people had to go through that office to get to the PFC offices, thus creating some confidentiality concerns.
The family resource center moved to its present location on Wee Care Avenue
from the old parsonage.
