Sarah Childress, who was injured in a Feb. 11 wreck that took the lives of her sister and step father, was released from N.C. Baptist Hospital Sunday, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Childress first was in intensive care in critical condition and had been in the hospital since the 3:30 p.m. accident on N.C. 93 involving a parked tractor trailer and a van driven by Sarah Childress' mother, Sarah Carico Blevins. Rickey Blevins, 44, and Tammy Childress, 13, were both killed in the accident.
Sarah Blevins, Billy Childress and Peter Brim, all of whom listed the same address, were treated and released after the accident.
Meanwhile, in another development, Trooper Randy Boger said that no charges will be filed in the Piney Creek accident. He said he has referred all of his information to the district attorney's office.
