Reported crimes down by about 10 percent in Alleghany in 2001

Reported crime was down by about 10 percent in the county during 2001 as compared to the year prior, but the Alleghany County Sheriff's Department plans on continuing to improve its efforts against crime.

Tax listing period is extended

Telecenter holds opening ceremony
