Two people from Marble were arrested over the weekend in relation to an attempted break-in and larceny on U.S. 21 north after a manhunt for one suspect last Saturday night.
According to a report filed by Deputy Tim Duncan, William David and Donna Timpson of Coalville Road in Marble, which is in Cherokee County, were charged with felonious breaking and entering and larceny.
The couple is charged with attempting to enter an outbuilding owned by Billy Maxwell. The building is located behind the Maxwell Museum. According to a report, the Timpsons were caught breaking into the building on Dec. 22 by its owner, who phoned dispatch at 8:35 p.m. concerning a breaking and entering in progress.
Several items were taken, including antique glass jars, dolls and other items. Most of the items have been accounted for and were recovered at the scene. However, the investigation is continuing on the couple. Donna Timpson, 38, was arrested at the scene of the break-in.
