The Appalachian District Health Department's Alleghany County office will hold a ribbon cutting and open house on Friday, Oct. 5 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Also included at the event will be remarks by several local dignitaries. Featured speakers will include Alleghany Health Department Director Danny Staley, Secretary of the Department of Human Resources Carmen Hooker-Buell, Dennis Harrington of the N.C. Department of Human Resources and several local officials.
"We will have refreshments and everyone is welcome to stroll through and see our new clinic," said Staley. For more information, call the department 372-8813.
