Travis Sturgill expects his background in both video production and education to serve him well in his new role as manager of the A. Anderson Huber Cyber Campus at Alleghany High School.

"They were looking for someone for video production, to take over channel 50 and get something going," said Sturgill. He is excited about plans to expand the cable television station's schedule of locally-produced programming, coordinated at the cyber campus.

The Alleghany County Board of Education appointed Sturgill in April. He has been training since then and officially stepped into the manager Programs set for viewing on Channel 50

Those who missed any of several end-of-the-year school events, or people who want to view them again, will have the opportunity to watch them on local cable television.

The A. Anderson Huber Cyber Campus at Alleghany High School has announced a schedule for telecasting videotaped events, such as this year's AHS graduation and Eighth Grade Recognition Dinner, on Alleghany Cablevision Channel 50.

The schedule will vary from week to week and is slated to run for two or three days each week this month.
