The office of The Alleghany News will be closed on Friday in celebration of the July 4 holiday.
Advertising and other newspaper deadlines will remain the same in spite of the closing.
The office will reopen on Monday morning at 8 a.m.
News and advertising items may still be dropped off at the office on Friday by utilizing the drop slot by the front door, which is located across from Farmer's Hardware on Main Street in Sparta.
