Episcopalians prepare to build a new church on U.S. 21
Broken GroundBy ROBBY LUCKEStaff A growing church which has been using borrowed facilities has begun work on its own permanent home. Christ Episcopal Church held a groundbreaking service June 21 at its 10-acre building site near the intersection of U.S. 21 and Chestnut Grove Church Road. About 30 people, including ministers from other churches and local government officials, were present as Rev. Stan McGraw, the church's priest in residence, spoke and led prayers. |

observance marked a step toward the Episcopal congregation having its
