The Alleghany News announces that Karen Roupe, advertising composition manager, is a winner in the 2001 North Carolina Press Association Best Ad Contest.
Roupe won second place in the Best Small Ad Division, Community Division B, for an ad designed for Trails End Fashions.
Ron Brown, general manager of the newspaper, said, "This is the second year in a row that Karen has been recognized. Her creativity and eye for detail is a definite asset to the newspaper."
Roupe will receive her award on Friday, June 8 in Raleigh at the NCPA
Awards Ceremony.
