FBLA students post state winBy COBY LaRUEStaff A total of 15 Alleghany High School students traveled to the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) state conference on April 6 and 7 in Greensboro and four returned with top honors. A total of 2,000 students from across the state competed in the competition, according to AHS teacher Anabel Gonzalez, who is the FBLA club's sponsor. "There was a lot of competition from all over the state," Gonzalez said. "I was real proud of our students and how they performed." She noted that she was particularly pleased with the quality of the students and their performances, considering that this is only the second year of the program. The AHS FBLA program has registered first-place winners in each of its first two years of operation. |
