Grubb garners reward for truck recovery

A former chief deputy with the Alleghany Sheriff's Department received a $2,500 reward Thursday for finding a 1994 Ford truck used to tow mobile homes that was stolen near North Wilkesboro.

Horse show proves successful

Church undergoes expansion to almost triple capacity

Pine Fork Baptist Church, located on N.C. 18 south of Sparta, has recently undergone renovations that increased seating capacity from 110 people to in excess of 300 people.
