South Dakota artist is inspired by local candid raccoon photograph

While a picture of raccoons raiding a bird feeder that ran in an issue of The Alleghany News appears to be little more than a cute reminder of a back-porch adventure, South Dakota resident Debra Many-Carson saw just a little bit more.

RASCALS - This print by South Dakota artist Debra Many-Carson was
inspired by a local photograph.

Debra Many-Carson is shown above in the wilderness
of northern South Dakota, a place where she
likes to spend as much of her time as possible.

Carson, who once lived in Sparta but now lives in Aberdeen, used the photo for inspiration in producing a painting that is now a nationally-available print.

The print is titled "Rascals" and it was made commercially available in early May of this year.
