Construction may be finished at Glade and Piney schools by July School Building Overseer Johnny Davis told the Alleghany Board of Education last Wednesday night (May 3) that he thinks construction on several of the school projects may be finished this summer. Garbage franchise gets nod During their regular monthly meeting May 2, members of the Sparta Town Council agreed unanimously to award a three-year garbage franchise contract to Green Tree Incorporated.
