Several locations report break insThieves went on a breaking and entering spree over the weekend, striking at seven locations in and around Sparta.Inclement weather bus routes offeredAlleghany County Schools are announcing limited bus routes for each school for the snow season. Regular school announcement procedures will inform parents and students if the routes will be utilized instead of canceling school entirely. Announcements are available on local radio stations, local television stations and the school website at http://www.alleghany.k12.nc.us. The web site is updated first with the snow day information before the other mediums. For more information, contact your child's school principal.
