Parade plans unveiledPlans are already underway for the annual Christmas Parade that travels through downtown Sparta, ending at Trojan Village. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. and is being sponsored by the Sparta Revitalization Committee.
Alleghany to lead state in new diploma programThose students who are attending Alleghany High School in the occupational program are now eligible to receive a diploma instead of a certificate when they graduate.
