"Very Special" art fest is held hereBy DARLENE WYATTStaff It was like taking a trip to the land down under at the Emerson Black Building last Friday during the Very Special Arts Festival. The theme for this year's event was centered around Aboriginal art from Australia. The festival was entitled "In Front with the Outback." Donna Link was the coordinator for the event that brought students from all four schools in the county. The students attending special needs courses were able to attend the festival. Other students in the academically-gifted class were on hand to help other students complete their art projects. Workshops were held on painting, decorations and clay creations. |
