Bowlin set for move to Ashe County ESC

Ann Bowlin decided recently that it was time to make a change.

When an opportunity for a promotion became available, Bowlin decided to leave her post of six years at the Alleghany County Employment Security Commission and transfer to the Ashe County office.

"Promotion opportunities are rare in the Employment Security Commission," Bowlin said.

Bowlin, who lives in Ashe County, said that she looks forward to returning to the Jefferson office that she left as a worker in 1993 to take over the Alleghany office as interviewer in charge.

Now she will return to Jefferson to lead that office.
