A 1993 Ford Explorer, $600 cash and one and a half ounces of Psilocybin mushrooms were seized by Detective Rick Lyall of the Alleghany Sheriff's Department on June 12 after a routine traffic stop.
Lyall stopped the 1993 Ford Explorer on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Ennice community near N.C. 18 north.
Thomas Robert Lawrence of Dobson received three felonies and four misdemeanors from the incident. Also charged in the incident was Kelly
Merritt Sanders, also of Dobson. Sanders, 21, received two felonies and two misdemeanors.
