The Alleghany News Publishing Co. Inc. officially launched a new Internet website last week.
The site may be viewed at www.ls.net/~allnews. The site features abbreviated versions of the newspaper's stories, with the content being taken entirely from the material printed on the front page. Regular subscribers get the complete story each week in the newspaper.
The site, which will be updated weekly, is being produced by the staff of LSNet, an Internet service provider (ISP) that serves Alleghany and several counties in Virginia. The site will be an ongoing project, with new features possibly being added in the future. Community input is welcomed.
